CAIQUE PARROT or GUINEA PIG?
i was wondering if i should get another Guinea pig ,i have one already, or a caique ,i have parakeet now.
Those animal are on opposite ends of the care spectrum. Parrots are very high maintenance pets(especially the Caique). They require an owners who is totally devoted to them. A parrot will bond to you, and you are their entire world. While this may sound fun, it is only going to be fun if you don't grow bored with the pet.
I would suggest doing a lot of research on Caiques, no one is going to be able to tell you what to get. The best pet is based on your preferences, financial status(parrots are expensive to feed, and care for), and other factors.
I would suggest getting a larger beginner bird. Cockatiels, , love birds, etc are easier to care for, and a little less on the pocketbook. Going from a parakeet to a Caique is like going from owning a hamster to a dog.
