I have 2 parakeets that i no longer can afford due to new baby..what should i do will give away for free?
i want to give these birdsa nice home together will give away for free along with the large cag, toys, feeders everything. since we had our new son money has been tight and rent has gone up so i don't want to throw them out in the cold but i need to find them a home soon. somewhere in los angeles or near hawthorne ca. pls give advise if have any
I really wish I could just say to give them to me, as I would love to have more birds.. but seeing as I'm in Mississippi I don't see how that would work. I'd say ask people you know if they'd like them--people you know would take care of them. It helps if they have some experience but then again parakeets are extremely easy to take care of so experience isn't a big issue.. I remember my first two parakeets, they started it all.. Now I have many parakeets, lovebirds, cockatiels, a starling, and a lilac-crowned amazon parrot. I have also kept doves, finches, ducks, chickens, and many other types of birds, and have bred both parakeets and cockatiels.. I just love birds! One time, one of the little hatchlings from one of the batches of eggs that one of our parakeets laid, was rejected by the mom and she would not feed him, and would peck him, so I had to feed, raise and wean him myself--and right now am taking care of a baby starling I found about to get ran over in a busy restaurant parking lot. If you know anyone who really loves birds, that would be ideal! Don't give them to just anyone though, especially not someone irresponsible. You might ask a vet or pet store about it.. Or tell your friends to ask their friends if they want pets! Good luck finding them a good home!
