I CAN'T WAIT IM SO EXCITED.JUST TALK TO ME ABOUT YOUR QUAKER /OUTHER SPECIES OF PARROT TELL ME EVERYTHING IT'S FAVORITE toys ,perches,food etc. Im SO EXCITED MY BABY ISN'T BORN YET BUT IM STILL SO EXCITED ABOUT TAKEING A BIRD IN MY HOUSE.I use to have a cockatial but he died =(.
Awwww sorry to hear about your cockateil. Its sad when our pets die. They are a big part of our lives and we cant live without them.
I breed with all sorts of birds and i find that parrots love these things :
Swings, ladders, cuttle fish bone (to trim the beak), mirrors, bells and seed blocks.
If you get a cage, make sure that the cage is double the length of the birds wingspan in all directions! Or he wont be happy and he will get crump tail. (where the birds tail feathers look horrible, and bent because the cage is too small ).
Parrots can learn how to talk if you repeat a word to it long enough! Just have patience... =)
