Introducing a sun and a green cheek conure?
I have a sun conure (10 months) had him for about a week. I also have a green cheek conure who is still at the breeders (not weaned yet). Anyway I have a new cage that I am planning on housing them both in. Should I put the sun in it now or put them both in at the same time? Will these two get along?
Do I still have to quarantine the new baby even though they came from the same breeder and have been in contact for the past month?
I would bring the Green Cheek home first. I wouldn't put them in the same cage. Both birds tend to be cage aggressive. Even if you are putting them both in a new cage, I wouldn't advice it, they'll become territorial. They should get along though during free time. Whenever you let them out of the cage, let them play together. The Sun is larger than the Green Cheek, but if there aren't in the same cage, play time will be a great time with a buddy.
