i am building a wooden birdcage & was woundering if there is any way that i could stop them from shewing on it
ok my birds like to shew on the wood cage that i build and i was woundering how to stop them from doing that could i brush vegtable oil on the cage so they would stop or what is it that i should do please help
Man, I'm so sorry to tell you this, but birds chew things to bits! In the wild they shred branches and leaves, so if I were you I'd buy a metal cage. Don't put anything on the bars because it could poison them; even veggie oil could eventually go bad and get bacteria on it. Plus, you really can't properly keep a wooden cage clean. If I were you, I'd concentrate my creative skills on a fun perch that the little rascals can chew up without you feeling bad.
